As you know, the Gauteng Branch of the MX5 Club of South Africa, has been reconstituted and is back in action with a fast growing membership.We have a new committee , new energy and a new website under development.

The attendance at Cars in the Park- Zwartkops constitutes an all time record for a Club event and is indicative of the level of momentum we have.

Our focus for now is on the Gauteng group,but it is our plan not only to reinvigorate what remained of the old club , but unite all the splinter groups into one strong and dynamic, inclusive, national organisation.

We have also reinstated our membership of SAMCA and again have the benefit their Public Liability Insurance.

Our very effective WhatsApp Groups remain as our primary communication mechanisms and continues as is.If you are not a member of these  WhatsApp Groups then let us know.

The purpose of the new Website is to mange our membership data and meet the more static regularity requirements. It contains amongst other things, a downloadable membership application, our banking details, the T’s & C’s of membership,  and a copy of our Constitution. It will in time also contain a calendar of planned events as well as the ability to issue vehicle valuation certificates .

https://www.mx5club.co.za/index.php  is the address of the new website. Its very new and still under construction so expect a few bugs in the first few months.

All members , current members, past members and aspirant new members are encouraged to Register on the new website.  Registration on the website does incur any obligations and does not imply Club membership but does help us to stay in touch.

We know just how members enjoy their Sunday  morning Breakfast Runs and these will continue at least once a month with the possibility adding localised regional events that are closer by.

Activity plans for the balance of the year include a two night away event probably in or near Nelspruit on the weekend 8/9 October.This promises to be the highlight of our year and its hoped that we will exceed 50 cars.More info on that will follow.

Speaking of Membership, its perhaps time to pay your membership dues for the current year., if you haven't done so already. Bank account details are the same as they were in the past. Details  are also available on the Membership form downloadable off the website.
